Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the NowLive mobile application (package top.nowlive.app) and the service at nowlive.top collect, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to the app on Android and iOS and to our website.

You can use NowLive without an account. Browsing fixtures, live scores, leagues, teams, players and news requires no registration. Creating an account is optional and only adds cross-device syncing of your favourites.

1. What we collect

Account information — only if you register

Name, email address and a password, which is stored only as a salted hash and is never readable by us.
An optional avatar image URL and your preferred news language.
Your favourite teams and competitions, so they follow you across devices.

Stored on your device only

Your language, theme, onboarding selections and notification preferences are kept in local app storage. Sign-in tokens are held in the operating system's encrypted keystore (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). None of this leaves your device unless you sign in and it forms part of the account data above.

Push notifications

If you allow notifications, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging issues a registration token for your device, and the app subscribes it to topics for the teams you follow. The token identifies a device installation, not you personally, and is discarded when you uninstall the app or revoke the permission.

Advertising

NowLive is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To deliver and measure them, Google may process your device's advertising identifier, IP address, coarse (country/region-level) location derived from it, device and app information, and your interactions with ads. We do not receive your advertising identifier ourselves.

Technical logs

Our servers record standard request data — IP address, timestamp, requested endpoint and user-agent string — to keep the service running, enforce rate limits and investigate abuse.

What we never collect

No precise or GPS location, no contacts, no photos or files, no camera or microphone access, no SMS or call logs, and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs beyond the advertising described above. The app requests only the INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and (optionally) notification permissions.

We do not use your data for automated decisions with legal effects, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves.

3. Consent for personalised ads

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we present Google's consent form before the advertising SDK starts, and your answer determines whether ads are personalised. You can change your choice at any time from Profile → Privacy options inside the app.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond what the consent flow above covers. Data is processed by:

Google AdMob — ad delivery and measurement. Google Privacy Policy
Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notification delivery.
Our hosting provider — operates the servers running the NowLive API.

Football fixtures, statistics and news come from third-party sports data providers. We send them no information about you — those requests are made by our servers, never by your device.

We may also disclose data where legally required, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and our service.

5. How long we keep it

Account data — until you delete your account.
Push tokens — until the permission is revoked, the app is uninstalled, or the token expires.
Server logs — a limited period for security and diagnostics, then discarded.
On-device preferences — until you clear the app's data or uninstall it.

6. Your rights

You may request access to your data, correction of anything inaccurate, deletion of your account and its data, a copy of your data in a portable format, or restriction of processing. Names, languages and favourites can be changed directly in the app. For anything else, write to the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

All traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Session tokens are held in the platform's encrypted storage and are refreshed and revoked on sign-out. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the data involved.

8. International transfers

Our servers are located in Europe. Our advertising and messaging providers may process data in other countries, under the safeguards described in their own privacy policies.

9. Children

NowLive is a general-audience sports app. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
